- Nora led Developmental Evaluation workshops for the Minnesota Evaluation Studies Institute Spring Training in Minneapolis, Minnesota, 'Introduction to Developmental Evaluation: Purpose & Guiding Principles' and 'Developmental Evaluation in Practice: Lessons Learned'.
- Nan led 'Introduction to Developmental Evaluation' webinar for Massey University, Health Families New Zealand.
- Kate and Nan ran an introductory workshop 'An Overview of Evaluation: An Introduction to Developmental Evaluation' for the Rockefeller Global Fellowship on Social Innovation in Ubud, Indonesia.
2016
- Kate and Michael Patton led 'Developmental Evaluation: A Practitioner's Introduction' for the 2016 Canadian Evaluation Society Conference in New Foundland, Canada.
- Kate led the workshop 'Developmental Evaluation: Some Thoughts on the Approach and Its Practice', in London for the United Kingdom Evaluation Society.
2015
- In 2015 Nora and Michael Quinn Patton gave the keynote 'Embracing Complexity in Evaluation' for the Evaluation Network for the Missouri River Basin conference and ran an 'Introduction to Developmental Evaluation' workshop and Nora ran a 'Coherence Through Shared Principles: Principles-Focused Developmental Evaluation' workshop.
2014
- In 2014, Kate, Nan, and Nora attended a Developmental Evaluation Think Tank (a participatory workshop at the 2014 annual conference of the American Evaluation Association) convened by FSG. The purpose of the think tank was to bring together a group of practicing evaluators and funders of developmental evaluation to enrich knowledge, understanding, and practice. Kate and Nan contributed one case study, and Nora submitted a second case study.
2013
- In 2013 Nora received the Michael Scriven Dissertation Award for Outstanding Contribution to Evaluation Theory, Method, or Practice. Nora’s dissertation was among the first published Principles-Based Developmental Evaluations.
- Nan and Kate (along with Kataraina Pipi and Veronica Thompson) were recipients of the Australasian Evaluation Society 2013 Best Evaluation Policy and Systems Award for the He Oranga Poutama Developmental Evaluation Framework.
2011
- Kate and Nan ran a series of Developmental Evaluation workshops in Australasia (Wellington, Canberra, Sydney, and Cairns) in 2011.
